Close your eyes. Listen carefully. What do you hear? The sound of wheels rushing past cars? The sound of heavy rain? The rustle of leaves on trees? Birdsong?
Open your eyes. Look around you. What do you see? Buildings that almost rest against the sky? The sun, whose rays are trying to break through these futuristic giants? Trees? Flowers? People who are in constant pursuit of happiness?
And now listen not to the sounds around you, but to the sounds of your heart. Don't look around, but look into the depths of your soul. What do you hear? What do you see? What do you feel? Pacification? Peace? Happiness? Feeling needed? Answer: Yes. After all, you are a man of the future.
Now draw a balance wheel in your mind or on a piece of paper. The wheel of balance, or the wheel of life, is a concept introduced by entrepreneur Paul George Mayer approximately in the 1960s. What does it represent? It is a circle divided into six sectors: family and home, finance and career, self-development and education, body and health, society and culture, spiritual development and ethics. The number of sectors can vary and include other aspects of life, and then the balance wheel will display the situation in more detail. Each sector is divided by scales from 0 to 10, indicating the degree of satisfaction with one or another aspect of life. You have taken place in your career, you hold a highly paid managerial position with a stable high salary, you can safely put a dash on 9 or even 10. You have a close–knit family, a loving faithful partner, children - your personal life has developed. Of course, satisfaction is an extremely subjective concept and everyone has their own wheel of balance. So, draw a balance wheel in your mind or on a piece of paper. What did you get? Equal circle on a scale of 10? Answer: Yes. After all, you are a man of the future.
Have you received a prestigious education, constantly attend advanced training courses, continuously develop intellectually, expand your horizons, have you put a mark on the scale of 10 of the spectrum “self-development and education” in the balance wheel and lifelong learning accompanies you throughout your life? The concept of continuing education, officially presented in 1965 at the UNESCO conference, plays an important role and is conditioned by both scientific and technical and economic progress, the introduction of new concepts, concepts and technologies [2]. According to Zinchenko G.P., continuing education is an idea whose origins go to the Bible, the Koran, the Talmud. Such ancient philosophers as Plato, Socrates and Aristotle were interested in the problem of continuing education [1]. The American military of the 19th century, Robert Edward Lee, believed that “A person's education ends only with his death.” And the proverb “Live for a century, learn for a century”, in which the concept of continuous education is laid down, is known to everyone. Is the concept of “lifelong learning” an integral part of your life? Answer: Yes. After all, you are a man of the future.
You have achieved a lot, you have everything you ever dreamed of. Remember your childhood dreams. What are they related to? With what aspect of life? You dreamed of a career – you have it. I dreamed of a family – you have one. I dreamed of traveling – you have this opportunity. Have you achieved all the goals set earlier, but nevertheless you don't stop there? You set new goals and make every effort to achieve them, because the lack of goals is the lack of development, and the lack of development is, in turn, death. Are you alive, alive morally, spiritually and intellectually? You are, and you have? Answer: Yes. After all, you are a man of the future.
You have a high level of not only IQ, but also EQ (emotional intelligence), you are well versed both in your emotions and in the emotions of other people. Do you have empathy, do you know how to empathize, understand and feel people's feelings and pain? Answer: Yes. After all, you are a man of the future.
Now close your eyes again. Analyze your whole life. What emotions does it cause you? Are you proud of your life you've lived? Are you ready to live the rest of it in the same way? If you were given a chance to change something in your life, would you change anything or leave everything as it is? Would you live another life exactly the same?
Open your eyes again and just answer one main question: ARE YOU HAPPY? If the answer is yes, then you are a person of the future in the present.
The man of the future is already among us
Leo Tolstoy
